This body of work explores the relationship between the body, material and everyday objects. Through sculpture, textiles and photography, I examine how physical experiences of discomfort, vulnerability and bodily restriction can be expressed through familiar forms and materials.

Using processes of casting, welding, sewing and construction, I combine hard and soft materials to create objects that sit somewhere between the functional and the bodily. These works distort familiar forms, drawing attention to the physical and psychological experiences that are often concealed or overlooked. Through humour, discomfort and material transformation, I question how the body is represented, controlled and experienced.
